Dien Minh Chau was born in Ben Tre province. He was a graduate from Indochina Fine Arts College (1940-1945) and from Prague Fine Arts Academy. Dien Minh Chau was known as the sculpture who turned a new page for modern Vietnamese sculpture. He used stone, bronze and plaster - won 1st prize at the National Fine Arts Exhibition in 1958 and 1980. His most famous sculptor is "Bac Ho", landmark in the Centre of Ho Chi Minh City.
>>> Hua Tu Hoai (1940 - )
Hua Tu Hoai was born in Lang Son Province. A graduate from the Hanoi College of Industrial Fine Arts, he is specialized in wood and is famous of using the theme of Tay ethnic minority. In 1976, 1985 and 1990, he was awarded 1st prize at the National Fine Arts Exhibition and at the National Exhibition of 10 Years of Sculpture (1973-1983).
>>> Pham Muoi (1935- )
Pham Muoi was born in Dong Thap Province. He studied at the Fine Art College of Vietnam (1957-1959) and the Surikov Academy of Fine Arts in Moscow. Pham Muoi creates his own style for the contemporary Vietnamese sculpture, expressing smooth figures with Buddhist theme and wood Gold medal award at the National Fine Art Exhibition in 1985. He was Dean of Department of Sculpture at the Fine Arts College of Ho Chi Minh City.
>>> Nguyen Hai Nguyen (1965 - )
Nguyen Hai Nguyen was born in Hanoi. He studied at the Fine Arts College of Ho Chi Minh City (1986-1989). He won 2nd prize at the National Exhibition of 10 Years of Sculpture (1983-1993).
