>>> Wu Guan Zhong (1919 - 2010)
Wu Guan Zhong was born in Jiangsu Province. He studied art at the National Arts Academy in Hangzhou, then attend classes in oil painting at the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts, Paris in a government scholarship. He was a lecturer at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing, Qinghua University, Beijing Fine Arts Normal College and the Central Institute of Arts and Crafts. Wu Guangzhou has become a leading master in the 20th-century Chinese painting and introducing Western art and abstract forms to his students. He used principles of Western paintings, but add in a spirit and tonal variations of ink that are typically Chinese style. In 1992, Exhibition “Wu Guan Zhong: A Twentieh-Century Chinese Painter” at the British Museum in London.
>>> Lin Feng Mian (1900-1991)
Lin Feng Mian went to France in 1918 to study at the Paris National Higher Institute for Fine Arts. After his return to China in 1925, he became President of Beijing National Art Academy. Then later, helped establish and became the first President of Hangzhou National Art Academy. Lin Feng Mian moved to Hong Kong in 1977. His works are renowned domestically and internationally.
